A Long Journey – Part 1

Just after COVID (and a tornado) struck in 2020, I planned a long “bucket list” journey through the Western US. I never did make the trip, but I did travel to Nevada a year or so later and did some rockhounding… that’s the closest I got.

Now, 6+ years later, I am finally getting to go on the trip I planned back then, with a few differences.

First, this is partially a work trip. I will be teaching a PLC class in Northern Alberta, Canada. I will be there for about 4 weeks, and am bringing some music recording equipment to fill my spare time. It will still be pretty cold up there.

I am then meeting my wife in Bozeman, MT and visiting a bunch of national parks out west. We will be returning home from our last destination in Northern New Mexico mid-late May.

It should be quite the adventure! I leave tomorrow and will be updating this site a few times to let everyone know how it’s going. Wish me luck!
